Partner Opportunities

The Farm Forum Event has consistently grown larger, and repetitively brought together many of the most motivated farmers from across Western Canada since its inception seven years ago.  It is considered by many of this industry’s best and brightest to be the premiere learning event of the year, and is attracting a very different attendee list from any other industry event.  It is not geared to attract the masses.

When and Where:

The 2011 Farm Forum Event will open for setup on the morning of Tuesday Nov 29th, and the fun will begin when the doors open at 6pm that day for registration and a social mixer, some entertainment, and the first major keynote speaker.  The learning will continue all day on Wed Nov 30th, with a banquet and fun casino that evening, and then most of the day on Thursday Dec 1st, the exhibits can be taken down anytime after lunch, and the attendees will remain until 3:30pm.

Who attends?

There will be approximately 1000 people walking through the door on Tuesday evening, Nov 29th.  Most will be very progressive farmers traveling in from across Western Canada.  Last year they were 27% from AB, 42% from SK, 22% from MB, 2% from ON+BC, and 7% from other countries (primarily USA and Australia).  Participants pay $500 to attend, plus travel and accommodation, this is not the typical farm meeting crowd.

Another important demographic attending is those who advise these unique farmers – Agri-Coaches, Market-Coaches, independent consultants, and retail sales agronomists.  This event is a great opportunity to meet and educate them as well.

The end of November is a perfect time of year for many things.  There is always significant media presence there, and a lot of extra profile can be received by unveiling new products or having your leaders delivering some key announcements while at the show.

Feedback surveys collected just before the closing of The 2010 Farm Forum Event suggested that every industry partner company there last year will be returning this year.  Last year the exhibit area and the industry partner speaking sessions were both sold out.

We have redesigned the exhibit area floorplan to improve traffic flow to all corners during the networking sessions, and we will try a fun little program to encourage some active interaction with all exhibitors during the networking sessions.

Who in your company should be involved with this event?

Frontline salespeople for sure, they can spend a lot of quality time with their best farm customers at this event.  Leaders in your company will also gain great value from meeting other industry leaders there, and also learning about the perceptions and biases of these unique farmers, and those who advise them too.  Product researchers and developers will find the sessions very informative, and find it valuable to network and exchange ideas with other scientists as well.

Contact Chris Paterson at 1-403-999-7269 or cpaterson@agritrend.com to register your company, and discuss any ideas on how to get maximum value from your involvement.

Next, book travel and accommodation.  Rooms are available today, but they will be sold out prior to the event.
